Abstract:
This article addresses the issue of sports club identity, analyzing the role of graphics and colors as tools of emotional communication. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how the visual identification of sports clubs—including colors, logos, and graphic elements—influences the building of emotional bonds between the club and its fans.
Drawing on literature on color psychology, branding, and the sociology of sport, as well as our own survey research, the importance of club colors as conveyors of values, history, and a sense of community is presented.
The article demonstrates that club graphics serve as a nonverbal language that shapes the perception of a sports brand and intensifies the emotions accompanying sports competition. The identified research questions include the impact of colors on fan engagement, the interpretation of visual symbols, and their significance in the process of constructing social identity in sport.
Club colors and graphics are much more than aesthetics—they are a language of emotions that build sports identity, connect communities, and influence fan behavior. Their role in the visual communication of sports clubs is crucial for both building emotional connections and strategic brand positioning. Through the conscious use of club colors and symbols, sports organizations can strengthen their presence in the minds of their audiences and create deeper relationships with their surroundings.
