Abstract:

The article analyzes government measures to develop single-industry municipalities in Russia (monocities). Strategic measures for the revival and development of single-industry towns are considered with an emphasis on the problems of using labor resources, restructuring them, and creating an effective labor market that meets modern requirements. The article presents an assessment of the effectiveness of government measures aimed at reducing unemployment and ensuring the protection of economic and social rights of workers. The proposals on improving state and regional policies in relation to single-industry towns are formulated in the paper. Conclusions are drawn on the adequacy of the measures taken and the selected tools to support the conditions for the restoration of economic growth in the country.
