Abstract:
This article proposes the methods for assessing the competitiveness of economic activities based on the private and integrated indices which takes into account the structural changes in the relative concentration of employed persons by the kinds of economic activities, actually achieved and potential employment outcomes. Such methods allow making comparisons at both regional and national levels. The issue of this study was to quantify (assess) the competitiveness of economic activities at the regional level and to link this assessment to other economic indicators. As a methodological substantiation of the approach presented in the work aimed at the formation of a system of indicators that allow assessing the competitiveness of economic activities, the methods of organization management proposed by I. Adizes was considered [Adizes, 2016]. The main advantage of these methods is that it is applicable to the systems of different economy levels (an enterprise, a kind of economic activities, a region, and a country) [Moseyko, 2013]. A distinctive feature is that the list of indicators that make it possible to assess the system competitiveness is formed based on the condition for successful system management, that is, the model for assessing the competitiveness of economic activities can be designed on the basis of the prerequisites of management content, which makes it possible to specify the process of corresponding estimated indicators formation.
