Abstract:

The efficient management of the waste from electrical and electronic equipment represents a priority, in the worsening context at worldwide level of the society’s environmental and sustainable development problems, at the level of the governments, business environment and civil society. The subject we propose regards the approach of this special waste category in the actual worldwide climate, confronted with the real risks that the technological progress’ effects might have over the human development. For this purpose, the paper is oriented in its first part on the construction of an image at international level, regarding the electric and electronic waste management and in its second part it is customized at the level of the Romanian context. The authors propose a general concept for realizing an integrated sustainable management system of the electrical and electronic waste, capable to ensure an efficiency of the actions now developed in Romania.
