Abstract:

Due to the globalization and economic regionalization phenomena as well as to the world competition they triggered on resource access and the possibility of penetrating new markets, business management has been oriented towards ensuring a competitive advantage - as the only factor that can determine not only the company survival and longevity but also the chance of a sustainable competitive position in the market. Each and every competitive strategy is based upon achieving the competitive advantage that assesses its success as well as its entire strategic management approach. The present paper deals with the analysis, formulation and development of competitive strategies having as guide mark Vodafone which is currently operating on one of the world’s largest telecommunication network, with a strong presence both on mature and emerging markets.
