Students Education in terms of Using the Educational Version of Integrated Management Systems

Abstract:

Enterprise Resource Planning refers to the IT systems for corporate management supporting. More and more suppliers offer the educational packages of the systems developed to enhance the students’ preparation for their professional career. For a few years the courses which cover the integrated management systems have been found in the offer of higher education providers. The aim of the study covered in the article has been to learn the opinions of the students in terms of the functionality of the educational version of integrated management systems. With the analysis of literature, the need of applying integrated management systems in the process of educating students has been justified. The article presents the results of a pilot survey study carried out in June 2019 among 4 groups of students of the Faculty of Management of the UTP University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz. An e-survey created in Google Forms has been used as a research tool. The research results point to the justifiability of applying integrated management systems in the process of education at the higher education schools of economics. The students were positive about the justifiability of computer lab education as well as a further use of the educational version of integrated management systems. A market analysis study is planned for the year 2020 for the educational offer of the providers of the integrated management systems to higher education providers.
