Abstract:
This paper presents an author’s critical analysis of the existing electronic portfolios of university students for the availability of opportunities to implement the continuous development of a student and graduate. The authors provide a conceptual basis for further research in the field of student e-portfolio and its elements. This paper reveals approaches to the interpretation of the concept of "portfolio" and its main elements, reflected in scientific research and regulatory documents, and also provides the results of a desk study of approaches to the formation of electronic portfolios of 31 universities in the Russian Federation. The results of the analysis show the state of scientific knowledge about the context of the electronic portfolios use in universities. The authors conclude that it is necessary to study the student's reflective assessment of the stages of the formation and development of a portfolio. In addition, the implementation of the principle of portfolio continuity throughout professional life should become one of the priority tasks of future research. The authors also note the importance of organizing employers' access to portfolios as stakeholders of the educational process in higher education. As a result of the work carried out, the authors presented their vision of the structure of the student's electronic portfolio blocks with its possible integration into the digital competency platform.
