Students’ Perception towards e-Learning in Higher Education: The Case of Egypt

Abstract:

E-Learning in Egypt has been a calling need, especially with the large number of students per class in higher education.  Adopting E-Learning in a developing country like Egypt with a population around 80 million needs clear understanding of cultural aspects and characteristics of the Egyptian students. This paper will focus on the Egyptian students as they play the customer's role in the e-learning process. It will try to identify the students' perception regarding e-learning by answering the research question 'How do Egyptian students perceive and regard E-learning? A structured questionnaire was designed and distributed over Egyptian higher education students in Egypt. Data collected was analyzed, findings were recorded, and recommendations were made.
