Abstract:

There is certainty about the exhaustive incognizance of the digital economy, about the non- alignment regarding its definition and composition, but also about the impossibility of framing its size. How to define and nuance the framing margins of the digital economy in the general economic system is still a question mark. This article, presented in the form of a bibliometric review - through data accessed from the Web of Science Core Collection database, Clarivate Analytics - brings to the readers minds ideas on how this topic it is approached and how intensively (i.e. Digital Economy), and also, by analyzing the keywords, the elements that converge towards its formation are presented - in retrospect - and elements that diverge from it, but which, nevertheless, contribute to its definition and existence.
