Abstract:
The capital in agriculture, expressed by the quantity and the quality of the technical-material factors, has not only technical significance, but also a social one, given that the proper equipping of the agricultural holding with agricultural machinery and equipment as well as with agricultural buildings, is one of the main drivers of agricultural labor productivity growth. In this paper we present the results of the analysis of the consequences of the mechanization of the Moldovan agriculture reflected in: the increase of the soil compaction, the superficial plowing, the quality of the cultivation works, the mechanical deterioration of the quality of the harvested products, the increase of the harvest losses, the delay of the optimal period of the works , pollution of soil, water and air, spreading of harmful substances due to exhaust gases or chemicals used for chemical protection, etc.
