Study on the Pork Market in the European Union

Abstract:

The paper analyzes the pork market in the European Union in 2010-2015. In this study the analysis is based mainly on the evolution of meat market specific factors, such as: production, imports, exports, consumption, etc. From the statistical data presented and analyzed it was found that Europeans are the biggest consumers of pork, and for this reason, it attaches great importance to growing pigs sector. An important place in the work is occupied by studying the most important operating players on the pork market in the European Union. The paper presents also forecasts with direct reference to the pork market evolution for the period 2018-2025. The statistical data underlying the analysis of the pigmeat market in the European Union were taken from international sites.
