Study Regarding the Level of Good Governance in E.U

Abstract:

This paper seeks to analyze the level of good governance in the European Union. We have studied this calculating the impact of the many factors that influence good governance. These important influencing factors are also known by the name “indicators”.  We will observe how each indicator proves its part in measuring good governance and what are the correlations between them. We will also try to discover and discuss new indicators that might have a significant impact on the good governance level in the European countries. Good governance gained more and more meaning trough time and along with it, deeper normative implications. These might include: effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, accountability, predictability, sound financial management, fighting corruption, as well as the respect for human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
