Abstract:
The article presents the relationship between the ways of coping with stress and the social support experienced by mothers of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. A total of 48 mothers raising children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) were studied using the diagnostic survey method. The following tools were used: the Social Support Scale by K. Kmiecik-Baran and the Polish version of the CISS Coping Questionnaire by Endler and Parker. The results indicate significant relationships, with a weak and moderate relationship between a task-focused coping style and social support in three dimensions: informational, evaluative and emotional.
