Abstract:
Globalization poses new challenges for African industry, which needs to master the ability to compete with the world's leading suppliers. Supply chain management can be a powerful tool to achieve this challenge. In general, supply chain efficiency in Africa is weak. Where individual firms have managed to develop into learning firms and to approach global standards, they find themselves with weak suppliers, and often also with weak customers. This paper looks at how supply chains can improve the economic performance in a developing country context, especially in Africa. He is divided into five:
