Supply Chain Risk Management – Actual Research Progression and Potential Future Directions in the context of Supply Chain Resilience

Abstract:

Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) has been the subject of many research articles in the recent past. Due to the heightened threat of logistics failure, there are increasing demands for improved management approaches that will increase assurance of supply and logistics continuity, and robustness and stability of supply chains [10]. To achieve this goals a comprehensive coverage of risk in supply chains is required. After literature review we have to state that no final consensus about how to manage supply chain risk exists but there is continuous improvement on this objective as research evolves. In a recent literature review a Supply Chain Risk Framework was developed by [1]. This should be taken as a starting point to conduct further research with the objective to review the model and further develop it in the context of Supply Chain Resilience.
