Abstract:

Sustainability of health care is defined as the quality of the health care activity that takes place without depleting the available resources and without destroying the environment, thus without adversely affecting the health of the population and the non-use of resources in a way that affects the ability of the next generation to provide health care and increase the number of chronic diseases. The medical activity involved enormous amounts of materials, energy, chemicals and water resulting in large amounts of waste. The effectiveness of the health system can lead to a reduction in carbon emissions imposed by the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The research done in this paper, wants to discover how to achieve a sustainable medical system. Discovering   that this is successfully applied in the UK, we want to implement the techniques and methods within the Romanian medical system.
