Abstract:
The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the world to make several adjustments following its unpredictability and preventive measures. Since March 2020, the world has made several changes and accustomed to a new way of life that has paved the way for conversations about sustainability in the future. According to the Latin American Economic Outlook 2020, the pandemic has led to a wide range of environmental and socio-economic impacts that have left the world looking to build sustainability due to the consequences of the crisis (OECD, 2020). The coronavirus created several social and economic challenges that set business industries to develop long-term solutions for the current crisis and any potential crises in the future. The disruptions in the world triggered the development of new-norms of a digital era with several innovations in production systems, economic sectors, business and consumptions models, and consumer needs.
