Abstract:
Sustainable competitive advantage is important when companies keep searching new ways to offer value better than their competitors especially when the competitive environment changes. Knowing which elements of competitive advantage to be deployed would help companies to set their competitive strategies right from the very beginning. Intellectual capital as intangible resources is important for sustainable competitive advantage. The main concerns are to find out whether SMEs are aware of sustainable competitive advantage and intellectual capital and how they capitalize it. Focus group approach was used in this study in exploring the perception of sustainable competitive advantage and intellectual capital of SMEs. The content of analysis was analyzed using a mechanical method. Recommendation and suggestions were provided.
