Sustainable Development of Social Services based on Quality Design and Innovation

Abstract:

The problem of the sustainability of our own models - economic and social - is becoming more and more important. Economic development and well-being are possible in a trust-based and credible relationship system. The paper is approaching the relationship between social services and sustainable development. The authors' contribution consists in: (1) identifying the main vulnerabilities in terms of quality of life over the past two years in Romania; (2) proposals for improving the quality of life in Romania and for a sustainable development of social services. The main research objectives are: (1) to present the stage of the quality of life in Romania on the three selected issues, namely: poverty, hunger and the health of the population; (2) identify the place of social services in Romania, compared to other EU countries. For this, the authors used data from the National Institute of Statistics in Romania and from EUROSTAT. The research methodology consisted in the correlation and comparative analysis of the specific statistical data for the three studied domains. The main research results are: identifying, presenting and analyzing the progress made by Romania in each field studied and the proposals for further improvement of social services in Romania.
