Sustainable Development of The BSEC Member States for the Effective Integration into Green Economy

Abstract:

The article analyzes processes of formation of green economy within the framework of sustainable development between the countries of the Black Sea region. The role of green economy aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment is revealed. The subject of the study is the main directions of green economy emerging in the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC). The BSEC member States play an important role in the sustainable development of the black sea region. The article presents an analysis of CO2 emissions by sectors of the economy in the BSEC, which indicates the relevance of the transition to green economy in the region. In the process of studying the normative documents of the organization, the author's vision of the key directions of green economy is proposed. The research conducted in the article on the use of renewable energy sources in the world and in the BSEC countries is aimed at identifying the stage of formation of one of the directions of green economy in the BSEC countries on the way to sustainable development. A forecast is made of the use of renewable energy sources (RES) sources and conventional energy sources in five countries of the BSEC, which revealed the largest amount of installed capacity of renewable energy sources. The existing problems in the BSEC require special attention, as well as analysis, which will show the main solutions and opportunities to reduce environmental costs.
