Abstract:
Sustainable public procurement (SPP) aims to achieve sustainable development by using state acquisition power and integrating environmental, social, economic, and environmental considerations, ethical, and legal-political dimensions. Many developing countries, such as Malaysia, face challenges in implementing sustainable public procurement. In response this study this paper proposes a conceptual model which includes the drivers of the SPP implementation. Numerous metrics have been established, in SPP, however for this study we will looked into employee competence, motivation, training, financial support, top management commitment and organizational culture on sustainable procurement implementation. The study is expected to offer procurement managers and policymakers valuable insight the implementation of SPP practises in Malaysia. This study is important in designing a roadmap for sustainable procurement in Malaysia to address the long-term sustainable development.
