System of The Use of Force in Modern International Relations

Abstract:

Modern international relations show that the most developed and leading states often resort to armed force in order to ensure their own interests. Conflict prevention and preventive diplomacy should be the main way to overcome tensions in international relations. It is important that all states are equally protected from the global risks and threats and bear a common responsibility for their reflection. Therefore, the international community has faced with the need to create an effective mechanism for managing modern processes. A special role in solving this problem belongs to the UN, the unique universal mechanism to ensure international peace and security. At the same time, it is necessary not only to maintain the main responsibility of the UN Security Council for keeping peace, but also to strengthen the function of its control over the occurrence and settlement of conflict situations. The paper analyzes the use of force in modern international relations and determines the directions for improving political and legal measures in this area.
