Talents, Competencies and Techniques of Business Analysts: Towards a Unified Theory

Abstract:

This paper addresses the challenge of supporting business analysts in development of their professional skills. The question about a unified theory is raised in context of applying different approaches: learning business analyst techniques, developing underlying competencies and directing the development process by individual talents as well as professional opportunities. It focuses on the use of integrative studies, such as meta-analysis, cross-border analysis and common ground approach, in order to increase precision in understanding overlapping issues and help in effective development of the skills.
