Abstract:
The value of a department, Faculty, even of a higher education institute is due to the power of the teams involved, to their intrinsic knowledge capacities, teaching skills, good communication, speaking and writing abilities. For our case study we used empirical research, conducted at the Faculty of Economics, “Petre Andrei” University from Iasi. We’ve started from collegial evaluation forms, management evaluation forms and student’s evaluation forms. All these completed forms were discussed in Chairs, within a favourable climate (flexible and relaxed), encouraging in this way the discussions and conclusions, but above all, the cohesion of the team. Our study highlighted some of the variables of analysis in team building and leadership for higher education. The final real conclusion was that each one is considered to be a talent with specific skills in a specific domain of teaching economic sciences (as is our case). Two methods are considered essential from our point of view to add value to each individual expert: team building and group coaching.
