Abstract:

The article presents the results of research on the use of road rescue equipment. Specialist equipment from Holmatro and Webber was tested in the frame of international research. The tested equipment is used by rescue services in many operations e.g. at the scene of road accidents. The aim of the research was analyse the current relationship between a modern car and new approaches for dealing with accidents on the roads, modern technology in extrication. Also, in the frame of field tests was tested the effectiveness of the most frequently hydraulic cutters used by the rescue services of the European Union countries. The conducted research indicate the most effective equipment. The article contains graphic elements and photographic documentation of the tests. The results of the conducted research allowed for the identification of the best solutions in the use of specialized rescue equipment. Due to editorial restrictions, the article consists of three parts. The first part describes the methodology and course of the research. The second part discusses the obtained research results. The third part presents technical capabilities for the development of specialist equipment for road rescue in view of the results of studies. Due to the complementarity of the research and the mutual correlations of the obtained results, all research results are presented.
