Technology Acceptance in a small start-up: An Australian case

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to explore the use of information technology (IT) in a small start-up to determine the perception of the usefulness of IT. Data collection was undertaken via semi-structured interviews and an open-ended questionnaire with several employees. The results were mapped to the Technology Acceptance Model help determine how these organisation’s use and view IT. It was found that the ‘perceived usefulness’ and ’ease of use’ of IT do play a big role when starting a small business.
