Abstract:

Malaysia has started the initiative to implement E-health since the establishment of Malaysia’s telemedicine blueprint in July 1997. Telemedicine term, later changed to Telehealth, used as a tool to reshape the healthcare delivery system by becoming more virtual more distributed and more integrated by use the telecommunications, information and multimedia technologies. One of the Telehealth project is Lifetime Health Plan (LHP) was developed to provide medical care continuously. Therefore, it is important to identify the implementation of Clinical Information System (CIS) and identify the implementation of CIS efficiency performance in private healthcare. Semi-structure interviews were conducted on 10 clinics. The data will be analyzed using Microsoft Excel to show percentage of result obtained. The result show the clinic perform the basic components of CIS and the implementation of CIS can improve efficiency performance and reduce waiting time patient get the treatment while implementing a paperless system. The clinic shows, there is committed to realizing the health plan has been developed.
