The paper researches the issues surrounding the analysis of business models by mobile app developers. The conducted study of the market for paid mobile applications and games allows to infer the optimal business model, which is one of the factors of market success. The results of the study focus on determining the optimal range of prices for services in mobile games and applications. The paper also presents the market for mobile applications and games over the last years and the changes that have taken place in it. The most important success factors common to the most profitable mobile apps are discussed.
