Abstract:
The considerations contained in the article concern the problem of the operation of special economic zones (SEZ) in Poland. In this article the characteristics of the terms of an entrepreneurship of a region and a local development were presented. The purpose of the article is to identify the factors limiting the placement of enterprises in the SEZ areas and the assessment of the start-up of investors. The empirical analysis used the survey method. The research tool used in the research was a questionnaire. It was addressed to the owners who manage their businesses and to persons holding managerial positions or responsible in the company structure for contacts with the authorities of the respective economic zones. The territorial and objective scope of the research included 63 enterprises operating in the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ SA).
