Abstract:

The current social and economic context is characterized by totally new challenges and difficult to foresee changes. The evolution of the international epidemiological situation caused by the pandemic situation significantly affects most businesses and subjects them to increasing disruption. Therefore, organizations need a proactive approach equipped with framework to protect themselves against the outcomes of disruptive events. In this context, the purpose of this research paper is to explore the benefits of business continuity management and to highlight the organization's gains by applying the provisions of subject matter international standards. The analysis of the main benefits of business continuity management indicate that by implementing the business continuity management system the organizations can minimize the disruptions of the business activities and maintain their performance level.
