Abstract:

In the last period, due to the dramatic increase of IoT and the monitoring possibilities offered by it, in the market appeared the need to count the presence in the meeting rooms of various companies. To meet this need, certain requirements have been established, such as those of a Proof of Concept (POC) project which involves monitoring the presence in two meeting rooms of a customer. From the Requirements Document of the POC derives the requirement that is achieved through this work: establishing the best people count solution for a meeting room. Three sensor solutions for determining people count are studied in detail and discussed. The results of this paper are useful in rooms reservation, thus being possible to optimize the space management.
