The Business Environment in Poland and Hungary in the Context of the ‘Doing Business’ Reports

Abstract:

The activity of small and medium-sized enterprises is subject to certain legal regulations that determine the start of operations. The economic climate existing in a given country may, on the one hand, foster business activity and, on the other hand, discourage action. In the article, on the basis of data from the Doing Business reports prepared by the World Bank Group, the regulations regarding conducting business activity in Poland and Hungary, which concern small and medium enterprises, were analyzed. The research presented in the publication introduces the conditions of running a business in both countries in 2017-2019.
