The Cause-Effect Relationship between Greenhouse Gases and the Safety of Agricultural Production

Abstract:

Recent events and data provided by Eurostat on pesticide sales lead us to highlight once again the concerns about pesticides consumption in agriculture. That is why this paper aims to provide an analysis of risks and vices with consequences in the sustainable agricultural economy, influenced by traditional agricultural practices. Last but not least, we consider it important to analyze the subsidies granted to support farmers who practice sustainable agriculture, thus eliminating fertilizers, in the context of the demands imposed by climate change. From this perspective, we have highlighted in part why it is important to pay attention to the risks of pesticides in the agricultural sector, and how good faith influences the use of good practices, agricultural production. That is why during the research we tried to highlight aspects that, in our opinion, are important for the food security of the agricultural sector, to the current challenges caused by the need to supply agricultural products of the highest quality, using pesticide control. Proper land management plays an important role. We hoped that our guidelines would capitalize on those alternative methods of reducing pesticide use by switching to organic fertilizers.
