Abstract:
The philosophical trend, which striving to "export" the best human qualities into machines, is becoming more and more popular in the modern world. The trend took the name transhumanism (acronym: H +), proposed by one of its main precursors - Max More. There are currently intensive discussions about both: undoubted opportunities for the rapid development of humanity, as well as the threats related to the transition of this trend from the concept phase to practical implementation. A special place in H + philosophy, besides neurotechnology, biotechnology, or other sciences which fight with the limitations of the human body, is occupied by cognitive science. This is an interdisciplinary science examining cognitive systems, with particular emphasis on the human mind and artificial systems, i.e. computers that would ultimately have better intelligence than the one we encounter in man.
At the same time, more and more companies are undergoing a stream of economic change, which consists in preferring a "knowledge-based economy". They are gradually moving from a material-intensive economy to an economy dominated by modern technology and access to knowledge. This observation makes us take a broad look at the challenges and threats related to these processes in the context of international security.
