Abstract:

The aim of the article is to analyse The Comprehensive Progressive Agreement on Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), which is the mega-regional trade agreement signed by eleven countries of the Asia-Pacific region in 2018. CPTPP uprising was a direct consequence of US President Donald Trump's decision to leave the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). The paper indicates the circumstances of the CPTPP creation, main changes in relation to the original TPP format, as well as the prospects for further expansion of the discussed trade framework. The conducted analysis showed a limited scale of changes in the original TPP agreement, which largely comes down to suspend controversial legislation and concessions dedicated to the American side.
