Abstract:

In this research article the main goal is analyzing the demography of the European Union and addressing a small emphasis on Romania’s case. The EU’s demography is filtered during this paper through the processes of sustainable growth, evolution of the public expenditure and last, but not least, tackling the idea of private pensions as a solution to the decay of the public pensions system.
