Abstract:

While the existing theories on leadership articulate around the importance of style leadership, there has been little attention to the potential roles of more specific styles. The style is the leader’s key in times of the crisis. In this draft we shall highlight the determinants of style in the situation of crisis. To be more precise, we shall point out to what extent can the experience and the self confidence influence the style of leadership and the degree of effectiveness. Numerous Studies related to this topic revealed that an experienced and confident leader can choose his/her style. Among the other results that we could get while conducting this study is the existence of a link between style and effectiveness during crisis situations. Furthermore, the good choice of style in times of crisis has an impact on the effectiveness of the leader.
