Abstract:
This paper examines the role green recruitment and selection can play in improving organizational social performance. Social performance entails the entirety of culture and corporate social responsibility. At the helm of this study is the need for financial organizations to inculcate sustainability practices to improve their day to day operations and facilitate efficiency and effectiveness. Responses were garnered from 156 employees from First Bank Nigeria, PLC, Marina branch, to ascertain the applicability of green recruitment and how it affected their decision to join the institution and the results therewith. Data was analyzed using multiple regression to ascertain the effect. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between green recruitment and organizational social performance. Since the area is still being researched, suggestions were given for further research into the area of study. It was recommended for scholars to adopt other organizations or financial organizations to test the authenticity of the study and create room for further investigation into the subject matter.
