Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to assess the relationship of job satisfaction on transfer motivation, and to further assess how transfer motivation subsequently influence transfer of training. This study has used Cross-sectional survey design and collected data from 215 banking sector employees. SPSS 21 version with process was employed to test the hypothesized model.  The results reveal that job satisfaction is positively related to transfer of training and transfer motivation mediates the relationship between job satisfaction and transfer of training.  This study makes a significant theoretical contribution to the literature as this study demonstrate the importance of job satisfaction and fill the gap in literature by exploring the relationship between Job satisfaction, motivation to transfer and transfer of training. This significant relationship has not been empirically tested earlier.
