Abstract:
This paper brings into discussion some agglomeration theoretical aspects, pointing out phenomenon effects over small and middle enterprises and also their economical development. Agglomeration can be considered as being the growth territorial counterpart. Moreover, the role of cities in the economical growth is emphasized. Cities might act as locations where technological and social innovations are developed and, therefore, could be considered as engines of growth. Analyzing the situation in Romania we can see that enterprises are concentrated in those regions that are faraway much more developed.
