Abstract:

The analysis of the efficiency of labour resource use is very useful in identifying the problems which the labour market is facing and in formulating employment policies and strategies. Currently, the labour market in Romania is facing certain imbalances caused by the demographic decline, legislative instability, poor correlation of education labour market supply, all these placing their mark on the work efficiency. The current financial and economic crisis has amplified these imbalances, which requires further efforts to achieve a level of development of labour market like the Western countries. Thus, in order to identify some measures to improve the efficiency of labour resource use in Romania, there are analyzed some aspects of work efficiency in comparison with the results obtained by other European countries.
