The Evaluation of Teaching Factory Learning in Vocational High School in Bekasi

Abstract:

The importance of providing skilled human resources realized by the government through the policy enhanced vocational education that gives attention to vocational high school. Vocational high school development is now moving from local labor market orientation to the ASEAN labor market welcoming the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and preparing the graduates with a decentering of entrepreneurial character. The application of the teaching factory in the vocational school is Directorate of Vocational School Development's effort to strengthen school cooperation or synergy between school and industry. Learning with teaching factory aims to foster character and work ethic (discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, leadership, etc.) needed by the business world/industrial world and improve the quality of learning outcomes from competency-based training to production-based training. The cooperative relationship between vocational school and industries in teaching factory learning patterns will have a positive impact to build a systematic and planned partnership mechanism based on a win-win solution position. The application of the teaching factory affiliating vocational education world with the industrial world so the checks and balances on the educational process at the vocational school maintained and to maintain harmony (link and match) with the needs of the job market. The government programs stated above also following 21st-century learning patterns that promote innovation and the realization of the creation of new ideas.
