Abstract:

Horticulture is an important branch of the economy of states, representing the food source and the raw material supplier for the industry and export industry. Romania has a significant role on the horticultural market, the plums considering the significant quantities of fresh fruit it produces and the export of fresh or industrially processed fruit.The analysis of the foreign trade activity is important for establishing the efficiency, identifying the transactions performed and justifying the decisions regarding this activity. The main purpose of the paper is to analyze the evolution of the surfaces and the production of the plum culture, based on the processing and interpretation of the data and information published by the specialized institutions in Romania.
