Soybean attracts more and more attention to Romanian farmers because it is a very profitable crop, it has many uses, and from the agronomic point of view, this plant fixes the nitrogen into the soil well, which is beneficial for the crops to be sown in the future. Soybean production can be influenced by a number of factors such as agrotechnics applied in agreement with the crop area, variety resistance, soil type, phytosanitary status of crops. The main purpose of the paper is to analyze the evolution of the soybean market in Romania in recent years by presenting the data on the cultivated surfaces and obtaining, processing and interpreting the data published by the Romanian specialty entities.
