The Examination of Online Communication through World Wide Web: Case of Czech Lodging Facilities

Abstract:

In recent years the importance of Internet as new marketing communication media is still growing. Online marketing communication is however with this development becoming more difficult and it has created new complex problem. This complex of online marketing communication has to be explored. The Internet is proving to be very advantageous medium especially in business to customer sector. This transfer of traditional marketing to online media is naturally relating also to companies in lodging industry. This paper is describing results of research about online communication tools of lodging facilities different types. More precisely it informs about online communication with customers through the world wide web. There was 356 lodging facilities from North Bohemia region which were responding to online questionnaire. The aim of this paper is to partially isolate the problem of creation and administration of lodging facilities websites, prove the importance of this communication tool and point out new concepts, relations and problems in its administration. This paper is also mapping subtools of websites and it quantitatively describes the frequency of usage and other aspects.
