Abstract:
Organizational flexibility is the ability which consists in the adaptation to a turbulent business environment and the flexible enterprise is able to make numerous changes in a relatively short time and at comparatively low inputs. Nowadays, from the point of view of the formation of organizational culture, its flexible creation is crucial. In family businesses, organizational culture is often defined through the prism of concentration on the level of the organization and the level of the overlapping of business and family values. Therefore, this type of enterprises is a specific type of organisations which do not always behave the same as non-family businesses in the market. The objective of the paper is to recognize the factors affecting the level of flexibility in building organizational culture of family businesses. The reasoning is based on the author’s own research conducted in 2018 on a group of Polish family businesses. In the article, descriptive and nonparametric statistics were used, the application of which allowed the verification of the formulated research hypotheses and the accomplishment of the objective of the study.
