Abstract:

Rationale of the research was the observation on the dynamics of knowledge generated on Industry 4.0. Analysis of scientific data bases content in regards of Industry 4.0 proved that knowledge on the subject it is almost exponentially growing. The research questions that emerged after that analysis was: What is the mechanism of knowledge on Industry 4.0 dissemination and absorption? What are the causes of the perceived knowledge gap? How can the knowledge gap identified be minimized? The questions were answered after analysis of literature and reports on Industry 4.0, its implementation in companies and implementation barriers. Literature review inspired authors to developing model of knowledge gap filling. Hence, the ambition of the paper is developing the model of knowledge gap filling by knowledge transfer. The methodology implemented encompasses causal diagrams and system dynamics. The model developed will be used in further research to recognize strength and importance of factors influencing the process of knowledge transfer.
