The Genesis of the Modern Business Trends, from Volunteering to Social Entrepreneurship

Abstract:

The article discusses the urgent problems of the development of volunteering and the emergence on its basis of a modern business area - social entrepreneurship. The authors studied the theoretical and methodological aspects of the analysis of the development of volunteering in the international space. Emphasis is placed on studies of the United Nations, the World Giving Index, assessing the motivational component. The article presents the structure and nature of activities in the field of volunteering, which made it possible to justify the transition and identify areas of activity of social entrepreneurs. In conclusion, promising areas for the development of social entrepreneurship were identified, a list of Internet resources for its support and development was presented, and a number of key problems were identified.
