The Green Management

Abstract:

The green management is a new management concept discussed and presented in this paper. The green management can be distinguished from both environment management and pro-ecological management and is based on the sustainable development idea. On the one side, green management is wide and holistic in the macroeconomic dimension, but on the other side is narrow in a microeconomic sense – on level of single organisation. This paper presents main differences between these two perspectives. The green management fulfils the gap between management provided by the public administration focused on management of the natural environment resources and regulations created by private businesses. Environment management is domain of the public sector. The private sector has created many solutions known as environmental management or by the other names of management such as pro-ecological, ecological or waste management. In this article, the main differences between environmental management and management of the environment are presented. The main goal of the paper is to present the green management concept and to refer in this paper to the ongoing transformation of the economic and social model towards the green economy. The adopted method was descriptive literature analysis. The main finding of this paper is that green management has impact on the labour market structure and is one of the green job creation factors.
