Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to highlight the impact that the management of a company has on the performance of a company in a period of maximum uncertainty created by the emergence of the new SARS-CoV-2 virus. To achieve this objective, a series of statistical panel regressions will be made where an analysis will be observed over a period of 3 years, more precisely 2019-2021, this period includes all the 2 years in which a state of maximum uncertainty was presented, created by the appearance, since the end of 2019 in China, of the Covid-19 virus. The analysis will include 41 companies listed on the Romanian stock market. Also, I am confident in the results obtained in panel regressions in this study, which should be of interest not only to potential investors but also to researchers.
The econometric results show a negative and statistically significant relationship between the percentage of female board members and the respective economic rates of return and financial rates of return, which is consistent with previous studies.
